Dan Ess is Assistant Professor and Extension Agricultural Engineer in
the
Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering. He has been involved in the development of site-specific management systems for
land application of manure. Dr. Ess is investigating alternative uses of site-specific data to enhance machine systems
management. He is developing an extension program that focuses on the relationship between site-specific management and enhanced environmental stewardship for crop and livestock producers.
