Eligible Applicants
Incoming freshmen or any full-time undergraduate student who has had a parent lose his or her life as the result of a farm-related injury. Preference will be given to Indiana residents.


Selection Criteria

  1. Quality of the application and need.
  2. Indiana Resident

Amount
Varies. Recipients can apply for an annual renewal.

February 15 for incoming freshmen.


Application Info
Applicants should submit a letter of application (maximum of 2 pages) to: Scholarship Coordinator, 615 W State St., W Lafayette IN 47907. The letter should include:

documentation of parent's death due to a farm-related injury; statement of need; statement of how funds will be used.


Sponsor
The endowment was established in memory of Dick Willsey, a former Purdue Agricultural Safety and Health Specialist. Dr. Bill Field, Professor of Agricultural and Biological Engineering was instrumental in establishing this scholarship.
