The Mauri Williamson Scholarship for Excellence in Agriculture

Eligible Applicants
High school seniors who will enter a baccalaureate degree program (preveterinary medicine students are not eligible) in agriculture, agricultural and biological engineering, or forestry who are US citizens, rank in the upper five percent of their graduating classes, and have a combined SAT score of at least 1300 or an ACT composite score of at least 29.


Selection Criteria
The high school academic record. Finalists will be interviewed by the College of Agriculture Scholarship Committee.


Amount
$3,000.00 for freshman year, renewable for three additional years. Can be worth $12,000.00.


# Of Awards
One new Williamson Scholar is named every year.

College of Agriculture Scholarship and Awards Application, which is available on the College of Agriculture's website. .

Applicants must also submit an essay on "Which piece of literature, read in your senior English class, has left a lasting impression on you? Describe three of the issues confronted and how these are relevant now. How did you change as a result of reading the work?" In addition, you must send three letters of recommendation (one each from a counselor, teacher, and community member.)
