Eligible Applicants Undergraduates from Illinois who are enrolled in the Department of Biochemistry at the University. A student must be from Lake, Cook, DuPage, McHenry, Kane or Will County, Illinois. Incoming freshmen will be considered if they have achieved a score of 1200 or higher on the SAT or comparable score on a similar standardized test or rank in the upper five percent of their high school graduate class. Sophomore, junior, and senior candidates shall have maintained a minimum 3.00 (4.00=A) cumulative GPA. The University’s Division of Financial Aid will administer the scholarship.
Selection Criteria Candidates will be evaluated on academic performance and potential for future achievement.
Amount The Head of the Department of Biochemistry or designee will determine number of Matchette Scholarships awarded each year and the amount of each scholarship and select the recipients, all with the approval of the Dean of the College of Agriculture
