Soil and Crop Management

This Department of Agronomy option prepares students for careers in technical and management-oriented positions. Students select courses in areas such as soils and plant nutrition; cropping systems; weed, insect, and disease management; and environmental management to construct plans of study aligned with their interests. Graduates accept positions in soil survey and conservation, banking, land use, fertilizer and agricultural chemical or seed industries, environmental consulting and planning, natural resource assessment, agricultural extension, and farm production and management.
