Pre-Environmental Studies
Pre-Environmental Studies has two possible plans of study for first year students: Core A and Core B. The program allows students to prepare for and explore more than a dozen environmental majors during the first year before choosing a specific one.

Core B
Some environmental majors require more advanced freshman courses in general chemistry and mathematics. Those courses are:
- CHM 115/116 (General Chemistry)
- MA 161/162 (Plane Analytic Geometry and Calculus I/II) or
MA 165/166 (Analytic Geometry And Calculus I/II)
