COURSE OBJECTIVES

1. To introduce you to the College of Agriculture and to its academic departments and programs.

2. To help you understand academic policies and procedures, and how to use educational resources as you begin your Purdue experience.

3. To examine career opportunities, current issues, and priorities in the food, agricultural, environment, and natural resource system.

You will meet individuals who will share their knowledge, present characteristics, dimensions, issues, challenges, and opportunities in our food, agricultural, environmental, and natural resource system. Each has unique abilities and interests, and all represent important bases of knowledge that are interdependent in shaping and providing professional preparation for future careers. As one aspiring to become a professional, you must gather the information, evaluate the alternatives, and make the choices. You must select the courses, the experiences, and, most importantly, the people who will help you find your place in this dynamic system.
