AGR 101

College-Level Course Policies

One-half of AGR 101 will be conducted at the college-level, and one-half will be offered by the academic department or program in which you are enrolled. Students registered in AGR 101 who are not currently enrolled in the College of Agriculture will participate in one of the departmental or program divisions. The following policies pertain to the college-level part of AGR 101 (not AGR 101H) that meets on Tuesday afternoons.

Policies and grading factors for the academic department or program portion of AGR 101 will be provided to you by your departmental/program coordinator.

ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION

You are expected to attend and to be attentive to the presentations at all class sessions. Absences will not be excused, but may be made up by reviewing the audio record of any class which you missed and then submitting a one-page typewritten summary report (250 or more words, double spaced) to the course coordinator, Dr. Graveel, within two weeks of your absence.

To review the audio record of a Tuesday class that you missed, log on to BoilerCast and follow links for BoilerCast File Access under Resources. You will receive (2) class participation points for each of the Tuesday classes that you attend. Also, you will be awarded (2) points for a satisfactory make-up report of any class that you missed.

SPECIAL NEEDS

If you will require special accommodations in AGR 101 because of diagnosed disabilities, you are expected to contact Dr. Graveel in his office in Room 7 of the Agricultural Administration Building before September 5 so that appropriate arrangements may be made.
