Statement

Please keep in mind the following when considering one of our programs:

The Ag Study Abroad office offers programs that are available and accessible to all Purdue students regardless of major, year in school, GPA, disability, gender, citizenship, or social/economic background.

Only current Purdue students may apply through Purdue Ag Study Abroad to participate in our sponsored programs abroad.
- If you are an international student from one of our partner universities and would like to participate in a short-term exchange with the Purdue College of Agriculture, please go to "Coming to Purdue on an International Exchange."
- If you are interested in earning your undergraduate or graduate degree from Purdue University, more information on applying can be found through the International Students and Scholars website.

Purdue Ag Semester, Year, and full-length Summer programs are only available for majors in the College of Agriculture who have completed their freshman year.

Four semester-long exchange programs are open to Horticulture and Landscape Architecture students only: Technological Educational Institute of Crete, University of Hannover, INHOLAND University (Delft), and Leeds Metropolitan University.

Agriculture Spring Break and Maymester programs are available to all Purdue students, but Agriculture majors will have precedence in the application review and approval process.

The programs we offer are intended to cater specifically to Agriculture majors, but many of the programs have both agricultural and cultural components and could be applicable to a wide range of degree programs.

There is no specific GPA requirement to participate in an Ag Study Abroad program. Although we do consider your potential to be academically successful, we believe that a study abroad experience might just be the best thing for you.

A $500 grant or scholarship is awarded to all Ag majors participating in a study abroad experience of 8 weeks or more if they complete a little additional paperwork. Also, any Ag student can apply for additional funding from the IPIA office, and all Purdue students are encouraged to apply for financial aid and scholarships and grants that might be on offer from their own academic department or the campus-wide study abroad office.
