Nominations sought for Alumni Awards

The College of Agriculture and the Purdue Agricultural Alumni Association invite you to submit nominations for our 2012 awards programs. We have two major awards that encompass all of our disciplines: the College’s Distinguished Agriculture Alumni (DAA) and the Ag Alumni Association’s Certificate of Distinction (CD). Please feel free to forward this information to anyone who may be interested in submitting a nomination.

The specific information and criteria for these two awards are summarized in the table below. All nomination materials and award descriptions, as well as lists of past winners, can be accessed at www.ag.purdue.edu/agalumni/pages/awards.aspx .

Must hold degree from Purdue Agriculture	Yes (BS, MS or PhD)	No

Candidate description / general award criteria	have made a significant contribution to his/her profession or society in general have a record of outstanding accomplishments exhibit high potential for future professional growth, particularly positions of greater responsibility, and service to his/her profession and to society	have made significant contributions to the agricultural profession have a record of community or public service for the betterment of society
Those ineligible for recognition	Current Purdue Agriculture employees and past recipients of a Purdue Honorary Doctorate.	Current members of Purdue Ag Alumni board of directors, Purdue administrators, and elected officials while still in office.
