Trees of Indiana: Their Identification and Uses
By Sally S. Weeks & George R. Parker, Ph.D.

The Trees of Indiana CD-ROM was designed for the student of dendrology who has some fundamental knowledge of taxonomic groupings of trees. Although this knowledge is not essential, it is helpful. An introductory section explains the difference between hardwoods and conifers with pictures and descriptions. The CD also includes a species section with 118 species of trees (102 native to Indiana and 16 introduced and fairly common in the state). This section has pictures of each species and descriptions (generally with pictures) that illustrate important identifying characteristics with the aid of the accompanying text.
