Grade 4-5 Post-Visit Activity

America's Stately Trees

Every state in America has a tree that has been designated as its state tree. This activity will have students researching and reporting on different state trees around the country. (The 50 states are divided amongst the class.) In addition to the identity of each state's tree, students will be asked to uncover biological information on each tree as well as the reason(s) why each tree was chosen to represent its respective state(s).
