The Indiana
Chapter and North
Central Section of the Wildlife
Society, and Purdue University Department
of Forestry and Natural Resources conducted a continuing
education workshop for wildlife professionals in the Midwest
in the fall of 2006. The workshop was held at the Indiana DNR
Reclamation office in Jasonville with field sessions held at
Goose Pond. Researchers and experts presented information on
management techniques to enhance grasslands for wildlife, to
maintain a healthy mix of warm seaon grasses and forbs, and to
control invasive plant species in grasslands.
