Ewbank-Bishop Endowed
Scholarship in Forestry and Natural Resources
Amount of award: $1,000
|
This scholarship is designed to support students pursuing
a plan of study in forestry. In addition to academic performance
in high school the following criteria will also be used in
the selection process: (a) Indiana resident, (b) a history
of participation in a leadership capacity in 4-H, FFA, Boy/Girl
Scouts or similar youth organizations, and (c) member of
a family involved in the timber industry or work experience
related to the timber industry. Support for subsequent years
is possible if your academic and leadership performance is
maintained and endowment funds are available. |
Claude M. Gladden
Scholarships
Amount of award: $2,000 - $500 (number awarded
and amount dependent on availability of funds, usually
6 to 8 per year)

Awarded to first-year students entering the Department of Forestry
and Natural Resources and continuing students, the Gladden Scholarships
are bestowed on the basis of academic achievement and professional
potential. Check with the FNR Office of Students Services regarding
application deadline.

Bartlett Tree Foundation
Scholarship
Amount of award: $2,000.
The Bartlett Tree Foundation
Scholarship is awarded to a student in the Department
of Forestry and Natural Resources at Purdue University
who has completed at least one year of study. The candidate
must have a 'C' or better grade average and have demonstrated
a professional interest in some facet of urban forestry/arboriculture. |
Roy C. Brundage
Memorial Scholarship
Amount of award: $1,000-$1,500 |
The recepient of this award must be enrolled in either the
Forestry or Wood Products program at Purdue. Criteria for consideration
include academic achievement, demonstrated professional potential,
work experience and leadership in student activities. Students
with junior status receive preference.

Award
Amount of award: $500
This award recognizes
the Department Forestry and Natural Resource's outstanding
student leader. The winner of this award is that person
who has given notable service in a variety of ways.
The awardee has demonstrated strong leadership and responsible
citizenship in activities in activities at the department,
school, university, community and professional levels.
Recipients are nominated by fellow students and faculty.

This award recognizes
an outstanding forestry student with a professional
interest and potential in urban forestry or arboriculture.

| Forest Products Society
Scholarship
Amount of awards: First
$1,000, Second $500, Third $300
This award is given annually
by the Ohio Valley Section of the Forest Products Society
to outstanding students from Purdue, University of Kentucky
or Eastern Kentucky University, the three universities in
the Ohio Valley Section. Selection of the awardees is based
primarily upon potential to provide future leadership in the
wood-using industry.

Association Forestry Scholarship
Amount: $500 with one
or two per year
Not specific to Purdue
students, this scholarship is available to juniors and seniors
studying forest management and forest products.

| William A. Rafferty
Award
The Indiana Chapter of
the Society of American Foresters presents a year's complimentary
membership to the senior forestry student who is a member
of the Society and who has earned the highest scholastic index.

Award
Amount of award: Senior

Junior $175, Sophomore
$125
This award is presented
to one sophomore, one junior and one senior enrolled in the
BSF program in the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources.
Criteria for selection include: outstanding interest and enthusiam
for forestry, service and participation in extra-curricular
activities; courtesy and cooperation toward both faculty and
fellow students; and outstanding potential for professional
achievement.
