Research

Research objectives are to address conservation and genetic concerns for Allegheny woodrat populations in Indiana. I am seeking to use experimental translocations to further understanding of woodrat population dynamics both locally and range-wide and provide for the long-term conservation of local populations. Responsibilities include overseeing population monitoring of woodrat populations; design and execution of hard mast surveys, raccoon latrine surveys, and anthelmintic bait distribution; and tissue collection, genotyping, and analysis of genetic data from populations within Indiana and throughout the species range.
