Current Technicians

Greg Stephens is a senior
in our Wildlife Science program. Greg has served as a curatorial
assistant in the herpetological collection for three years.
His passion is venomous snakes!
Past Technicians:
Jason Braunecker worked
for me for several years in all aspects of the vertebrate collection.
He graduated in December and just recently got accepted into the
Conservation Law Enforcement program in Missouri.

Laura Sheets was a senior in our wildlife program. Laura worked
in the ornithology collection and prepared numberous study skins.
She is now working in the Virgin Islands.
Melissa Sharkis assisted with the fish collection for two years.
She is now attending law school and hopes to practice environmental
law.
Scott Hecht was a senior in our wildlife program as well as a member
of the Purdue track team. Scott assisted me with herp collection
in the spring of 2004. Scott is now in working on his MS degree
at Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne.
Aaron Corcoran is a senior
in our Wildlife Science program. Aaron is graduating in December
of 2003 and is looking to find a job as a wildlife tracking specialist.
Aaron has helped with specimen preparation for two years preparing
both mammal and bird specimens. Aaron is pinning a Cooper's
Hawk he recently prepared for the teaching collection.

Kristen Pallus is senior
in our Wildlife program. Kristen will be looking for a position
as a wildlife biologist or veterinary technician soon after graduation.
Kristen has worked primarily on mammals and is holding a muskrat
she recently prepared.
Matt Robles is also a
senior in our Wildlife program. Matt is looking to obtain
a job out west as a wildlife biologist. Matt is holding a
juvenile coyote skin he recently prepared. Both Matt and Kristen
specialize in large mammal preparation.

Matthew White obtained
his B.S. in Wildlife Science in 2005 and is now in graduate school.
Matt has prepared numerous bird specimens for the teaching collection.
Brooke Williams and myself handling eastern garter snakes.
Brooke worked for me for two years preparing specimens and assisting
with my salamander research. She has since graduated and
moved to Vermont where she is teaching environmental science.
Kevin Kemp holding numerous garter snakes. Kevin helped me
for three years with anything related to herpetology. He has
since graduated and now lives and works in Florida. He is
a research biologist specializing in wetlands and their associated
wildlife species.
Todd Pekny holding a Bald Eagle. Todd worked and prepared
dozens of mammal specimens for me. He is now a Conservation
Officer for the state of Indiana.

Michelle was my first technician and prepared dozens of bird study
skins for me. She recently re-enrolled at Purdue University
to attend graduate school..
