Lisa Worthen, PhD student in HTIRC, recently attended the joint meeting of the Southern Forest Tree Improvement Conference and the Western Forest Genetics Association in Galveston, Texas.  While there she presented her research on the male and female source effect on seed set and seed size in American chestnut. She also presented a poster on the same subject that won the Western Forest Genetics Association "Best Student Poster".
