Earl Butz photo gallery
On April 11, 1972, Butz met with Leonid Brezhnev (far left), secretary and head of the Communist Party of the U.S.S.R.
This official White House photo shows Butz (third from left) during a June 16, 1972 Cabinet meeting.
President Richard Nixon, here chatting with Butz in the Oval Office, appointed Butz secretary of agriculture.
Butz also served as secretary of agriculture under President Gerald Ford, until Butz was forced to resign in 1976.
Always known for his sense of humor, Butz holds court on Air Force One in this 1976 photo. Others in photo are (clockwise from upper left) Donald Rumsfield, executive assistant to the president, President Ford, Rogers Morton, secretary of commerce, Butz, and Alan Greenspan, head of the Council of Economic Advisers.
In this 2004 photograh, Butz sits beneath a promotional poster produced by his fraternity brothers at Alpha Gamma Rho.
