The Frederick L. Hovde Award of Excellence in Educational Service to the Rural People of Indiana has been presented annually to a Purdue staff member since 1972 and is sponsored by the Indiana Farm Bureau. The award is named in honor of Frederick L. Hovde, Purdue’s president from 1946 to 1971.
