| The tools of knowledge are constantly changing. Today, Landscape Architecture students Derek Shelton (right) and Tim Wright gather around a bank of computers to complete their final project in the school's design studio. Through a $110,000 grant, each junior in the school received a Tablet PC computer. They allow students to work individually on projects on their own PCs, then bring them to the lab to work with other members of their project design team on larger monitors. In 1921, students gathered around an International gasoline-powered engine as part of a farm mechanics lab. |
