A sellout crowd of 1,500 and Ag Alumni Executive Secretary Donya Lester agree.

"This is a building just made for this type of program. It's the little things we don't have to worry about," Lester says, "like having food warmers in the kitchen that allow us to feed 1,500 people in eight minutes. When you can feed that many people in such a short period of time, you've solved a lot of problems."

Lester admits there was concern that the switch from Friday to Saturday and the move off campus would alienate many long-time supporters of the event. But bringing in a speaker of national prominence like Dole made the Fish Fry the hottest ticket in town.

"If we had another 400 seats," says Ward, "we could have sold them all before the show."
