1. Best advice
I learned how to take my knowledge and use it in a practical approach
to problem solving for my patients and for health care centers. At Purdue,
I found mentors for life. The College of Agriculture faculty were good
men and women who also happened to be good instructors. From them, I
found more than knowledge, I found out how I wanted to live my life.
2. Boiler memory
Sledding down Slayter Hill on a Fowler Courts dormitory door with a
dozen of my buddies. It was great fun, until we hit the telephone pole
at the bottom with a sign that warned us not to sled down the hill.
3. Thank you
Sam Postlethwait, Martin Stob and James Foster. Each of these men demonstrated
to me the joy one could find in his career by remaining a man of faith
and character.
4. Great escape
In my spare time, I enjoy participating in all sports, especially rugby,
which I was introduced to on the Purdue campus my sophomore year.
In his words:
"I found mentors for life at Purdue University. I found more than
knowledge at Purdue. I found out how I wanted to live my life."
