    1950s

    John “Jack” Rodibaugh, BS ’50, has been inducted into the livestock industry’s Saddle and Sirloin Club, the world’s largest gallery of portraits devoted to a single industry. Established in 1903, the portrait gallery pays tribute to leaders and influential figures in the livestock industry. The gallery at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville contains 341 portraits.

    John (Phil) Aldred, BS ’57, PhD ’62, is retired from Amgen Inc. and lives in Nipomo, Calif.

    Robert L. Eddleman, BS ’59, Indianapolis, was appointed by Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels to the State Soil Conservation Board and then was elected its chairman.

    Thomas G. Runion, BS ’59, Amarillo, Texas, is retired from Terra Industries.

    1960s

    Malcolm L. Johnson, BS ’60, Plano, Texas, retired in 2003 as sales manager with Phillips Petroleum Co./Chevron-Phillips Chemical Co. after 37 years.

    Ron E. Larew, BS ’66, MS ’69, Millersburg, Ind., retired last year as director of the Franklin County office of Purdue Extension.

    1970s

    D. Steven Skinner, BS ’73, Cicero, Ind., retired last year with the rank of major from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division after 32 years of service. He now works as a field coordinator for the Integrated Public Safety Commission.

    Charlotte J. (Allen) Mikulec, BS ’74, College Station, Texas, is the financial manager for Texas A&M University at Qatar in Doha, Qatar.

    Samuel E. Etienne, BS ’75, MS ’77, and his wife, Roberta, have moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, where he is enrolled as an interdisciplinary PhD student in the Department of Plant, Animal and Soil Sciences at the University of Alaska.

    Joseph J. Gleason, BS ’75, graduated from John Marshall School of Law, Chicago, in 1986 and is an attorney specializing in land use and environmental and admiralty law. He and his wife, Janice, live in Lakeland, Fla.

    1980s

    Maurice T. Klefeker, BS ’80, Littleton, Colo., is senior vice president for corporate development with Black Hills Corp. in Golden, Colo.

    John P. Yeager, BS ’80, Fishers, Ind., was named president in September of Peloton Business Group Inc., which does business as The Alternative Board. That franchise company helps private business owners grow and develop their businesses through peer boards and business coaching.

    Steve M. Bendix, BS ’82, has moved to Paris, France, to become deputy vice president of operations for the worldwide Nestle Waters Group.

    Rob D. Smith, MS ’83, PhD ’85, moved from Zimbabwe to Cape Town, South Africa, where he is working on agricultural development projects.

    Robert J. Carson, BS ’85, Statesville, N.C., purchased Union Grove Milling & Manufacturing Co. on Jan. 10 and changed the name of the feed mill to Union Grove Feed, LLC.

    Kevin J. Fry, BS ’86, lives in Zimbabwe, where he is executive director at Eden Children’s Village, which is a ministry of Goshen Christian Church in Goshen, Ind.

    Roland G. Taff, BS ’88, Omaha, Neb., is a technical sales representative with LignoTech USA.

    Lizabeth A. (Ruddy) Novotny, BS ’89, Princeton, Ill., is a livestock account manager with Alpharma Animal Health. Her territory covers northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin and eastern Iowa.

    1990s

    Ann M. (Gottbrath) Camden, BS ’93, Raleigh, N.C., has been promoted to senior vice president and elected as an agency shareholder with Gibbs & Soell Inc. at the public relations agency’s Raleigh office. She has more than 12 years of experience developing marketing communications for agribusiness and life science clients.

    Kevin C. Eddy, BS ’93, San Antonio, Texas, is a landscape architect with Rialto Studio Inc. in San Antonio. Previously, he was a landscape architect with WestLand Resources Inc. in Tucson, Ariz.

    Derek R. Eisman, BS ’93, Indianapolis, and his wife, Lisa, celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on April 26. They have two children — Micah, 7, and Madison, 4.

    Craig A. Hunt, BS ’93, DVM ’02, Fishers, Ind., has joined the staff at the Caring Hands Pet Hospital on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

    Robert N. Chapman, BS ’96, Rolla, Mo., and his wife, Kirstin, announce the birth of their son, Jacob Bradley Chapman, on Oct. 19, 2006.

    David A. Gehring, BS ’96, MS ’99, Utica, Ky., is a resource soil scientist for the USDA-National Resource Conservation Service in Owensboro, Ky. He and his wife, Kentra (Koster), BS ’98, MS (Education) ’00, welcomed their second daughter, Isabelle Victoria Gehring, on Nov. 4, 2006.

    Eugenia B. (Bruno) Hart, BS ’96, Lewes, Del., and her husband, David Hart, a 1998 Purdue Technology graduate, welcomed a son on Nov. 7, 2006.

    Melissa H. Kasper, BS ’97, Clearwater, Fla., received her master’s degree in special education from the University of South Florida and is teaching students with severe autism disorders.

    S. Adam Shahid, BS ’97, LaPlace, La., and his wife, Sayuri, have two children — Liam Tatsunobu Shahid, born Sept. 22, 2004, and Lilli Misaki Shahid, born July 25, 2006.

    April D. (Hardisty) Peters, BS ’98, Martinsville, Ind., and her husband, Justin, welcomed a baby boy, Elija Jacob, to their family on Jan. 15. They reside on a small farm in Morgan County.

    Elaine A. Gillis, BS ’99, Dunkirk, Ind., and her husband, Craig Gillis, AAG ’96, announce the birth of their son, Adam Reed Gillis, on Jan. 2.

    2000s

    Kevin P. Harren, BS ’00, Mannington, N.J., and his wife, Stephanie (Shepler), BS ’99, announce the birth of their second child, Moira Ruth, on Dec. 29, 2006.

    Sandy L. (Dougan) Schmitt, BS ’01, Evansville, Ind., and her husband, Greg, a 2002 Purdue electrical engineering grad, announce the birth of their son, Jonathan Reed Schmitt, on Jan. 3.

    Krista A. (Echterling) Emmons, BS ’02, Warrenton, Mo., accepted the new position of logistics analyst with Monsanto and relocated to the St. Louis area with her husband, Derek, a 1999 Purdue College of Technology graduate.

    Sarah E. (Pence) Wagler, BS ’03, MS ’06, married Justin Wagler on Sept. 2, 2006.

    Josh W. Fugett, BS ’04, Indianapolis, and his wife, Andrea Danielle Fugett, announce the birth of their son, Jeremy, on Feb. 13.

    Miranda L. (Black) LeMaster, BS ’04, Jacksonville, Fla., married Tim LeMaster, who was on Purdue’s ITAP staff from 1999 to 2006, on Nov. 4, 2006.

    Matthew R. Morris, BS ’04, Greensburg, Ind., and his wife, Ashley, a 2005 Purdue Liberal Arts grad, announce the birth of their son, Mason Ray Morris, on Dec. 19, 2006.

    Melissa C. Padgett, BS ’04, Noblesville, Ind., works at Mainscape Inc. in Fishers, Ind., as dedicated account manager.

    Jason M. Braunecker, BS ’05, Saint James, Mo., is a conservation agent with the Missouri Department of Conservation.

    Heather A. (Lawyer) Craig, BS ’06, Economy, Ind., married David A. Craig on June 10, 2006.

    Courtney A. (Cooprider) Schmidt, BS ’06, and Joshua Schmidt, BS ’06, were married in May 2006. Josh has taken a position with Archer Daniels Midland in Evansville, Ind.

    Deaths

    Richard K. Huffman, BS ’50, Warren, Ind., passed away Jan. 26, 2006.

    Raymond L. Molter, BS ’58, Indianapolis, passed away in his home on Feb. 24 at the age of 70.
