    Staff and students honored

    The College of Agriculture honored outstanding students, faculty and staff at the spring awards reception in April. Award recipients are:

    Bernie Engel, head of the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, received the Outstanding Graduate Educator Award.

    Kim Wilson, associate professor of horticulture and landscape architecture, received the Richard L. Kohls Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher Award.

    Kirby Hayes, associate professor of food science, received the David C. Pfendler Outstanding Undergraduate Counselor Award.

    LeeAnn Williams, academic adviser in the Department of Agricultural Economics, received the Outstanding Service to Students Award.

    Tyler Janovitz of West Lafayette received the Outstanding Senior Award. He majored in entomology and molecular biology, was active in Golden Key International Honor Society, and conducted research on E. coli over the past five semesters.

    Anne Marie Diener of Five Points, Calif., received the Outstanding Junior Award. The food science major is involved in the Food Science Club, Purdue Foundation Student Board and Old Masters.

    Dustin Potts Newburgh, Ind., received the Outstanding Sophomore Award. He is majoring in horticultural science and is active in Collegiate 4-H.

    Ryan Crane, an ag economics major from Exeter, Maine, received the Outstanding Freshman Award. His activities include Farm Management Club, Purdue Student Government Board of Directors and Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity.
