    The 10th class of honorees will receive the Purdue Distinguished Ag Alumni award Friday, April 19, during a ceremony in Fowler Hall.

    They bring to 98 the number of recipients of the award, which honors mid-career graduates of the College of Agriculture who have made significant contributions to their profession or to society.

    Honorees include Nels Ackerson, BS '67, chairman and founder of the Ackerson Group, Washington, D.C.; William Aimutis, BS '78, vice president, dairy foods research and development, Land O' Lakes Inc., Arden Hills, Minn.; P. Stephen Baenziger, MS, PhD '75, the Eugene W. Price distinguished professor, University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Neb.; and Francis Patrick DeGennaro, BS '81, MS '83, manager, DuPont Biosolutions strategy and new business development, E.I. DuPont de Nemours Co., Wilmington, Del.

    Also receiving the award are Charles Dietzen, BS '83, St. Vincent Children's Specialty Hospital, Indianapolis; Naim Mohammad Iraki, PhD '87, associate professor and director, department of biology, Bethlehem Palestinian Authority; Ted A. McKinney, BS '81, global leader, public affairs-biotechnology, Dow AgroSciences, Indianapolis; and Bradley Sheares, PhD '82, vice president, hospital marketing and sales, U.S. Human Health, Merck & Co., West Point, Pa.

    The award ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. April 19. A reception and luncheon will follow. Tickets for the luncheon at the Purdue Memorial Union North Ballroom are $12 and are available from Laurie Lambert Swift, (765) 494-3150, lswift@agad.purdue.edu.
