Letter to the editor The following e-mail arrived shortly after the Spring 2007 issue of Purdue Agriculture Connections rolled off the presses.

I hope this e-mail finds you doing well! This is Tanya Hadley, BS ‘06, and I wanted to comment on the recent article that you compiled on Rachel Cumberbatch. What a great article for an awesome young lady! I believe I may have a correction regarding Rachel being the third recipient of the Flora Roberts Award. In reality, she is the fourth recipient, as Stephanie Warner, BS ‘04, also received the award. (The other winners are Hadley and Melissa Ashlock, BS ’80, who were listed in the story.) Therefore, we have had four women from Purdue Agriculture win the Flora Roberts Award. I just wanted to bring this to your attention so as to not leave Stephanie out on the honor that she received. Plus that gives us greater bragging rights, that we have had four recipients, especially three in the past five years. Thanks and keep up the great work with Connections! I love getting them in the mail and keeping up to date on what is happening with Purdue Agriculture. – Tanya Hadley, BS ’06 _________________________________________________ We’re glad to see our Roberts Award winners sticking up for each other. Our apologies to Stephanie for the oversight. – Tom Campbell, BS '78, the managing editor of Connections. _________________________________________________
