Greetings from El Salvador

stint with the Peace Corps in El Salvador. This is the third of a series
of reports about his activities that he is filing for Connections.
Greetings from El Salvador:
Life continues to be very full of blessings. The trees in my nursery
are growing day by day. There will be over 900 when all is said and
done, from some 30 species. Here's a list for your edification!
Mango, avocado, citrus, carao, caimito, carambola, macuelizshuat, cedro,
laurel, flor de fuego, lima, carreto, guanaba, nacaspilo, níspero,
rose, clavel, granadillo, caulote, carbon rojo, papaya, guachipilin,
paraíso, leucaena, mamon.
There may be a few I missed. I expect most of those will be only names
to you, but I enjoyed writing them. I revel in the diversity of the
trees here. And they grow so unbelievably fast down here. I'm going
to try to encourage the local farmers to incorporate trees more into
their farming practices, and also some soil conservation practices.
