  • 19 faculty earn promotion

    Purdue Dean of Agriculture Vic Lechtenberg has announced the promotion of 19 faculty members. Academic promotion represents recognition for outstanding contributions to the university and profession.

    Those promoted to professor are: Paul R. Collodi (animal sciences), William A. Masters (agricultural economics); Albert Heber and Dirk Maier (agricultural and biological engineering); Kashchandra G. Raghothama (horticulture and landscape architecture); Richard H. Linton (food science); Tony J. Vyn (agronomy); and Charles P. Woloshuk (botany and plant pathology).

    Those promoted to the rank of associate professor are: Thomas C. Arndt, PhD '96, (agricultural economics); Osvaldo H. Campanella, Daniel R. Ess and Rabi H. Mohtar (agricultural and biological engineering); Rado Gazo and Guofan Shao (forestry and natural resources); Bernard Lee Dahl, MS '74, and Peter M. Hirst (horticulture and landscape architecture); and Mickey A. Latour, Michael M. Schutz and Michael E. Spurlock (animal sciences).
