Will bioenergy be a boom or bust for Hoosiers?

Teams of Purdue Agriculture students squared off on the topic, "Bioenergy will improve Indiana's economy and environment," at the 2006 Townsend Outstanding Communicator in Agriculture Debate Competition in November. The eight participating teams had to research both sides of the issue, as they didn't know which side they would argue until just before the debate. Team Mohler, a group of students from agricultural education and agricultural and biological engineering, won the final debate with their argument against bioenergy. Team members included Chelsea Mohler, South Bend, Ind.; Amy Penner, Wabash, Ind.; and David Mohler, Lebanon, Ind.
