David C. Pfendler Hall of Agriculture

|
The second-oldest building on campus, formerly known as Agricultural Hall and Entomology Hall, has a new lease on life after a $14 million renovation and addition. Rechristened the David C. Pfendler Hall of Agriculture in honor of Pfendler, an esteemed Purdue Agriculture counselor and administrator for 35 years, the building was dedicated at an April 17 ceremony, which included members of the Pfendler family.
The renovation and 25,000-square-foot addition preserves the hall's historic significance while increasing research and classroom space. The project was financed by gifts to the Pfendler Hall Campaign, including a major gift from the John S. Wright Fund. A Purdue alumnus and scientist, Wright was a pioneering benefactor of forestry in Indiana .
