One of the most widely anticipated issues of U.S. News and World Report is the magazine’s annual ranking of the nation’s top colleges and universities. Purdue’s Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering is ranked first in the nation for its undergraduate agricultural engineering program, according to this year’s rankings, which were released in August.

The department’s graduate program is not far behind. In its Spring 2003 issue, the magazine ranked Purdue's agricultural and biological engineering graduate program second nationally.
