Fostering an environment that embraces diversity

Once here, our students find support through Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS), an option club that provides students of color with academic assistance, networking opportunities and career development in agriculture, natural resources and related sciences. Club members also serve as mentors for high school students in Junior MANRRS chapters from Growth in Agriculture through Education (GATE) in Fort Wayne and STAR Academy in Indianapolis.

As we implement these new programs and initiatives, we continue to strive to foster a welcoming environment for all students, faculty and staff—whether African American, Asian American, Hispanic American or Native American—to become part of the Purdue Agriculture community.
