Web Team
The MMU Web Team features a professional staff trained in the
latest technology. We offer expertise and assistance in the following
areas:
Consultation
The AgComm MMU Web Team helps Purdue Agriculture faculty and
staff make the most effective use of electronic communication,
including event and information Web sites, e-newsletters, and
other multimedia projects requiring a Web component.
We can consult with you to determine the audience needs, objectives
and project scope. This analysis also involves planning for site
maintenance and sustainability, site functionality and programming,
as well as developing an evaluation plan.
In addition, the MMU Web Team can help you evaluate and adapt
new technology such as dynamic web pages, HTML e-mails, RSS feeds,
blogs and podcasts. We can also assist in evaluating your site
for compliance with federal and university guidelines.
We also enhance Purdue Agriculture and Purdue Extension's
search engine returns and placements, analyze and report on the
effectiveness of your Web sites by using Web analytics software,
and help create and implement Web marketing plans with and for
our clients.
Development
We collaborate with Web development teams and IT groups from
across the university to produce Web sites which meet university
and federal standards for usability.
We oversee the production and presentation of the top web sites
for Purdue Agriculture and Extension. We also design and manage
other Web-related projects for Purdue Agriculture and Extension.
Training
The MMU Web Team trains Purdue faculty and staff in the use
of website design and production software. We help identify and
adapt software and processes for distributed authorship, as well
as maintain all sites under purview of department. We also assist
clients with questions or problems regarding existing Web sites.
Distance Education and Instructional Design
Instructional design consultation is offered to credit, non-credit
and certificate distance-learning programs, including course
management software such as WebCT Vista.
