Ohio fish farmers and those interested in aquaculture have the opportunity to meet with Ohio Department of Agriculture director Robert Boggs to discuss aquaculture development plans for Ohio.

The Ohio Fish Farmers open meeting will be held Oct. 30 in Fisher Auditorium on Ohio State University’s Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center campus in Wooster, Ohio. The program is free, but attendees must register by Oct. 19 to receive dinner.

Attendees are asked to provide input and share their comments on the draft version of the new Ohio Aquaculture Plan, being developed with the cooperation of the ODA, to set the priority needs of Ohio aquaculture for the next decade. This plan will be presented to Ohio legislature for future funding and support.

An optional tour of the new OARDC Feed Mill will also be offered.

For more information and to register, contact Debbie Shaffer, Fisher Auditorium conference coordinator, at 330-263-3738 or shaffer.271@osu.edu .
