If you'd like to throw a party and win new customers for your sheep operation, you'll want to meet Nick and Kathleen Forest, whose seminar at the Upcoming Hoosier Sheep Industry Symposium will tell producers how to do just that.

The symposium, Jan. 11-12 at Quality Inn East in Indianapolis, will feature talks by producers as well as Purdue specialists on issues ranging from marketing to the modern consumer to "Ask the Sheep Specialist" in which Dr. Michael Neary, Purdue's sheep specialist, will take questions.

The symposium also will offer sessions about nutrition, selection and showmanship, as well as a session called "Management Scheme for Midwest Producers."

Pre-registration fees for the two-day event (which must be post- marked by Dec. 27) are $15 per individual and $25 per family. Registration at the door will be $20 per person and $30 per family. Obtain registration forms at your local Extension office. Lodging reservations should be made directly with the hotel, (317) 549-2222.

The symposium is sponsored by the Indiana Sheep Breeders Association, the Purdue Cooperative Extension Service, and Purdue's Department of Animal Sciences.
