Andrew Card

Andrew Card
Former Chief of Staff for President George W. Bush
Former Secretary of Transportation

Managing Amidst Crisis

His talk, "Managing Amidst Crisis," will relate stories from his White House experiences, including those surrounding the terrorist attacks in September 2001. Card was with the president during a visit to a Florida school and informed Bush of the second plane crash. He was with the president throughout the ordeal and helped manage the administration's response to the critical and quickly changing situation. Card will draw analogies from these experiences to demonstrate how to deal with change, innovation and uncertainty in any environment.
