"Feeding the World in 2050:
The Challenges Ahead"

Norman Borlaug's wheat varieties changed the face of world food production, fueled the Green Revolution and earned him the Nobel Peace Prize, the only time the prize has ever been awarded for food production. He is one of the best known Americans in the developing world and has been credited by some scientific leaders with "saving the lives of more people than any person who ever lived."
