When I register will my information remain confidential?
Your responses will be kept confidential. Your name, address, or other identifying information will NOT be distributed to any third party.

Why do I need to register to be able to download the slide presentation and other documents?
Yes. We would like you to register so we can keep track of the number of people that are using the presentation.

Will I be allowed to download the slide presentation, if you I am not an Extension Agent or a Master Gardener?
Yes, anyone can download the slide presentation. You just need to fill out the registration form and we will send you a password to download the documents.

What is the target audience?
Any person who knows the basics about gardening can attend and will benefit from this program.

What software do I need on my computer to download the documents?
You will need PowerPoint for the slide presentation and Adobe Acrobat Reader for the other documents.

What is PDF?
PDF stands for Portable Document Format (PDF).
The intructor's manual and the notebook are in the PDF format, so that it will print the same way on any computer printer.

What do I need to view or print PDF files?
Abobe Acrobat Reader. It's free and can be downloaded at the Adobe site.

Can I save a PDF file on a disk?

Yes, PDF files can be saved on a disk. Click on the floppy disk icon () on the upper left side of the page on both Mac and PC. The following dialog box will open on a PC:

Can I print the PDF file?
Yes, you can print the file directly without having to save it. There are two ways to print the file.

1- You can click on the PDF printer icon () on the upper left side of the screen. A dialog box will open up. Then, click the "OK" button after you check to see if the name of the printer is the correct printer.
2- You can go into the File menu and click on Print. A dialog box will open up. Then, click the "OK" button after you check to see if the name of the printer is the correct printer.

How can I make changes to the flyer?
You will need to add your information on the flyer for the workshop. Open the flyer document with Adobe Acrobat and click to the Text Select Tool icon on the toolbar or type the following: (V). Then, you will be able to select the text. Go to the Edit menu and select Copy. Open a blank word document and paste the text in it. You will be free to make the appropriate changes.

Do I have to download the slides show about biological control to read it?
No. You can choose view the slide show about biological control to read slides and notes. You may find it more convenient to print notes if you download the slides as a PowerPoint presentation to your desktop.

Do I have PowerPoint on my computer to download the slide show about biological control?
If you have Microsoft Office (i.e., Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel), you most likely have PowerPoint.

Can I print the biological control slides I download with the notes located at the bottom of each one?
Yes, to print the slides with the notes. When the slide presentation is opened. You can either click on the Power Point printer icon or you can go into the File menu and click on Print. A dialog box will open up. Check to see if the name of the printer is the correct printer. Half way down the dialog box you will see "Print What", click on the down arrow to choose "Notes Pages". Then, click the "OK" buttom. Each slide will be printed on a separate page with the notes at the bottom of the slide.

How can I print the slides I download in a 'notebook format'?
When the slide presentation is opened. You can either click on the Power Point printer icon or you can go into the File menu and click on Print. A dialog box will open up. Check to see if the name of the printer is the correct printer. Half way down the dialog box you will see "Print What", click on the down arrow to choose "Handouts". Choose 3 slides per page, so the participants have a blank space to write notes. Then, click the "OK" buttom. Note: by printing in the "Handouts" format the notes below each slide will not appear!
